What bothers me about the idea of atheist oppression is the fact that atheism is literally one thing only, a disbelief in god. Judaism is a race a culture and a religion, I will never be able to escape the impact it has had on me, and others will never not see me as that Jewish girl. It’s the same with the racialization of Muslims and how an Arab woman walking down the street in a hijab will be mistreated because of the duality of state sponsored propoganda (all muslims are terrorists), Christian bullshit (Muslims worship satan), well meaning but ultimately ridiculous savior complexes regarding Muslim women and racism.
Oppression is a very complex thing and it is more than what atheists go through.
